Agam, salingkanews.com – Salah satu bentuk nyata kehadiran pemerintah daerah di tengah masyarakat adalah melalui lahirnya Peraturan Daerah (Perda) Nomor 3 Tahun 2023 tentang Tata Kelola Komoditas Unggulan Perkebunan.
Perda ini bertujuan mengatur tata kelola komoditas unggulan perkebunan secara terstruktur dan berkelanjutan, meningkatkan daya saing komoditas daerah, serta mendorong kesejahteraan masyarakat dan pertumbuhan ekonomi melalui penguatan sektor perkebunan.
Hal tersebut disampaikan Anggota DPRD Provinsi Sumatera Barat, Ridwan Dt. Tumbijo saat melaksanakan Sosialisasi Perda Nomor 3 Tahun 2023 di Jorong Padang Tongga, Nagari Manggopoh, Kecamatan Lubuk Basung, Kabupaten Agam, Minggu (26/10/2025).
Menurut Ridwan, sosialisasi ini penting untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada masyarakat bahwa Pemerintah Provinsi Sumatera Barat berkomitmen mendukung peningkatan kesejahteraan petani, khususnya para pelaku usaha di sektor perkebunan seperti sawit, kakao, gambir, dan karet.
“Melalui Perda ini, pemerintah provinsi dapat memberikan edukasi, pelatihan, dan pendampingan kepada para petani agar mampu meningkatkan hasil serta nilai tambah dari komoditas unggulan yang mereka kelola,” ujar Ridwan.
Dalam kegiatan tersebut turut hadir Perwakilan Dinas Perkebunan, Tanaman Pangan, dan Hortikultura Provinsi Sumatera Barat, Dwi Purwanto, yang juga memberikan penjelasan mengenai substansi dan manfaat perda tersebut.
“Kami berharap, dengan adanya Perda Nomor 3 Tahun 2023 ini, masyarakat dapat memahami pentingnya pengelolaan komoditas unggulan secara baik dan berkelanjutan. Dengan demikian, perekonomian daerah dan kesejahteraan masyarakat dapat terus meningkat,” ungkap Dwi.
Ia menambahkan, perda ini berfokus pada penguatan dan perlindungan komoditas unggulan perkebunan agar produk lokal Sumatera Barat memiliki daya saing tinggi, baik di pasar nasional maupun internasional. (*)
