Padang, salingkanews.com – Ketua DPRD Provinsi Sumatera Barat (Sumbar), Muhidi, menegaskan pentingnya memperkuat sektor ekspor daerah melalui pemberdayaan pelaku usaha dan penguatan produk unggulan lokal.
Untuk itu, ia menggagas penyelenggaraan Sumbar Expo 2025 Komoditi Ekspor: Gerak Cepat Ekspor Sumbar, sebagai langkah untuk membuka ruang yang luas bagi produk Sumbar agar mampu menembus pasar global.
Hal tersebut disampaikan Muhidi dalam sambutannya saat memberikan sambutan kegiatan Sumbar Expo 2025, Senin (27/10) di Hotel Trumtum Padang.
Ia menekankan bahwa kegiatan ini bukan sekadar agenda tahunan, tetapi wujud nyata komitmen pemerintah daerah dan DPRD dalam memperluas akses produk lokal ke pasar internasional.
“Sumbar Expo Komoditi Ekspor adalah wujud komitmen kita untuk membuka ruang yang lebih luas bagi produk-produk unggulan Sumatera Barat agar mampu berkompetisi di pasar global,” ujar Muhidi.
Ia menyebut, Sumatera Barat memiliki potensi ekonomi yang luar biasa di berbagai sektor seperti pertanian, perikanan, peternakan, industri kreatif, serta produk olahan seperti rendang, kopi, dan hasil laut. Namun, potensi tersebut akan sia-sia tanpa konektivitas yang kuat dengan pasar ekspor. Karena itu, kegiatan expo ini menjadi jembatan antara kualitas lokal dengan permintaan global.
Muhidi menambahkan, peningkatan kontribusi ekspor menjadi salah satu indikator penting dalam memperkuat struktur ekonomi daerah. “Ekspor memberikan dampak berlapis. Pendapatan daerah meningkat, lapangan kerja bertambah, dan kesejahteraan pelaku usaha serta UMKM semakin membaik. Ini tujuan besar yang ingin kita capai bersama,” ujarnya.
DPRD Sumbar, lanjut Muhidi, memiliki komitmen kuat mendukung kebijakan yang berpihak pada penguatan sektor ekspor. Ia menyebut beberapa program prioritas yang tengah dikawal, seperti Desa Devisa Gambir, UMKM Naik Kelas, serta program transformasi industri dan penguatan infrastruktur logistik.
“Regulasi yang memudahkan investasi, penyederhanaan perizinan, dan pemberdayaan UMKM adalah agenda penting yang terus kami dorong. Kolaborasi antara pemerintah, dunia usaha, perguruan tinggi, perbankan, dan komunitas UMKM harus semakin erat agar ekosistem ekspor kita kokoh,” tegasnya.
Melalui kegiatan ini, Muhidi berharap terbangun jejaring kerja sama ekspor yang nyata dan berkelanjutan. Para pelaku usaha, katanya, dapat memanfaatkan forum ini untuk menggali informasi pasar, memperkuat branding, serta menyerap teknologi baru agar produk Sumbar mampu bersaing di tingkat internasional.
